Valnetines Day decorations 2012

Most of these are from last year. I did have time to do
a few new ones.

I bought the wreath at Walmart and it had tinsel on it.
I took the tinsel off and wraoed the back wire wit red
polka dot fabric. Than the front wire I cut strips
of fabric and tied them. I love how it turned out.

I seen something similiar to this on pinterest and had
to do my version. Gotta love Pinterest...I just took
a Canvas and painted it pink than crackled
it with white paint. Rolled
some tissue flowers, glittered in the middle
and added some vinyl. Mess if interested

Wow I cant believe its almost Feb. I havent posted for a while. Took a little break.
My friends and I have a craft night once a month and this year we decided it would be a Pinterest year. Who doesnt just love Pinterest..one word..addicting.. Well my friend found this shelf on there and her husband was nice enough to cut the wood for us. Some of them put hooks on theres so they could put it in their bathroom to hang towels. I didnt need one for my bathroom but I always wanted something under my picture just didnt know what. I found the perfect spot for my shelf, I love it. I slapped some vinyl on it and tada!

Oh how I love the Christmas time. Heres some pictures of our house at Christmas time. First, Is one of my trees, this tree is in the main living room and my cute little twins are having a hay day with it...

Next is my shelf in my living room. I print the stocking are hung in vinyl and just
replae it every year. I got the stocking and my tree skrirt at Typan a few years back.

Wow it has been crazy busy around here! I havent posted forever...
One of ny best friends moved away and I did a little going away party. The theme was Happy trails, cause they are totally leaving family and friends and starting a new adventure. Im so so sad but she promised to visit!

Dresser redo...bed in the works

I have had this dresser and bed since we got married and I needed a change. I decided it was time to refinish them. I got my dresser done and the bed is almost..

Much better. Ispray painted it with white spray paint that had primer in it. Than
I sanded it and stained it. I love it. It looks so good. I am glad that I redid it.

Halloween fun!

This is my entryway

I got these candles at a discount craft store last year for
1 dollar a piece. They light up and flicker so cute.
Of course my Scentsy warmer.
I made the furry pumpkin his names HARRY.

I bought the pumpkin wreath last year at Roberts and painted it.
The trick or treat I made on just some wood I had in the garage.

I was so excited to plan this party because it was for my sweet mom. It was a surprise so it made it really fun. It turned out so cute and I know how much it meant to my mom to have her family all here for her on her special day!
I decided to do a CIRCUS theme cause It's always a circus when Nana's around and because she loves to travel and have fun. The grandkids can pretty much do or eat anything they want. She's the best nana ever.

I just love the fall season. The cool air that blows trhough my windows at night and the fresh smell of the outdoors. Def my favorite time of year. I was so glad that I finally was able to put up some fall decor. The first five pictures our my shelf/ mantle and the other two our in my entryway! I also have some way cute projects that I am working on...coming up soon...

Alphabet learning floor!

I put plain vinyl letters on my tile floor last year to help my son with his alphabet. He started first grade this year and doesn't need them anymore, so I decided that I would apruce them up for the twins to learn. I took it all up and put pictures with each letter. The twins love it and it makes it so much fun, should of thought of it last year oh well its done and it took forever...

I had a second this morning to put some fun July decorations together. I have seen the fireworks around blog land and have been wanting to make them. I added some paper, vinyl, and stamped the stars on the corner. I made the hanging one for my shelf I needed something to hang from it. The flag I made from scrap wood I had. I am happy with how they all turned out. It makes me feel great when I get to craft and even if I have four little hands trying to help me!!

Things have been crazy here and I have really neglected my blog. I haven't had much time to make anything fun. School getting out, tball games, my MIL passed away, a mini get away with my handsome hubby, and a 10 hour drive to see my nephew graduate from high school. WHoA! Welcome summertime!!!
I did have a second before to put together this wreath and trees. I just wrapped them with some yarn, made some rosette flowers and tada! I used a long swimming noodle for the base of the wreath because our walmart didnt have any styrofoam and plus they were only 2 bucks. The trees were all the same size so I cut them and glued pieces to make them different sizes. I also used material to wrap one of the trees. I think they turned out so cute! I have seen some cute 4th of July ones, I think I will have to make

Ice cream Sundae Birthday party!

My twin girls turned 1. I was so excited to plan their party.

We did an Ice cream Sundae theme.
I made all the decorations and tags. I couldnt find the perfect
fabric for a tablecloth so I used wrapping paper.
I brought out the ice cream when the guests starting
arriving and put it in the pink tubs. I think it turned
out nice and we all had so much fun making our
own sundaes with lots of yummy candy on them.

(I know I spelled it wrong) forgot to change it out.

What started the theme out was when I went to our local thrift store and found these awesome glass ice cream cups. They had big, medium and little ones.

90 lbs down!!!!

I hesitated to post these pictures but than I decided that these were the past. Wow..its hard to believe how big I was. Life has its ups and downs and I sure let it get to me, but not now I am working hard and I feel great. I still have a lot of work to do. Thanks to my family and friends for all your love and support through all the big times (literally) you loved me know matter what!

Easter/ Spring Shelf

Finally got my shelf decorated for Spring/Easter. I had a whole bunch of old windows in the garage, cleaned one up and put a wreath on it. I love how it turned out. I got the Spring sign at Tiapan(spelling??) on clearance last year. The bunny and chick I made. (Maybe ill try to get a pattern, or tutorial together). The hanging Hoppy easter sign I made. St. Patricks Day Frame!

I got my decorations out for St. Patricks Day last week and I realized I just dont have that many. I have been wanting to make something new I just did't know what. I finally had a minute to throw something together last night. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Found an old frame I had around the house and glues some batting on it, so it would puff out a little

Then I wrapped it with some fabric

Cut a piece of scrapbook paper and I hot glued it to the glass because the back to my frame was missing. I think it would of been easier to modpodge it to the back of the frame had I had it.

Painted the blocks

Put some paper on two of them, than I glued the glass in the frame and glued the blocks to the paper.

Put some ribbon and tulle to hang.
I think it also would be cute turned the other way and or to not hang it and put it on a stand.

Easy and Delicious Crockpot Lasagne

I haven't had any time to craft lately and I've been so bummed about it. My twins keep me on my toes all day, but the good side of it is I can stand in the kitchen and bake all day while they play. I do love to cook and decided this morning we would have lasange for dinner. I love this lasagne its so easy and delicious.

Crockpot Lasagne

Ingredients you'll need. (recipe at end of post)

Cook Italian sausage and onion in skillet
Stir in tomato sauce, basil and salt.

Mix Ricotta, Parmesan, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese together in bowl

Put some about 1/4 of sausage mixture into 6qt slow cooker, top with 5 noodles broken into pieces to fit

Spread with half of cheese mixture and 1/4 of sausage mixture. Than 5 more noodles, remaining cheese mixture and 1/4 mixture.

Top with 5 remaining noodles and remaining saugage mixture

Cover and cook on low heat 4-6 hrs or until noodles are tender. Sprinkle top of lasagne with remaining 1 cup mozarella cheese.

Crockpot Lasagne

1 pound bulk Italian sausage

1 medium onion chopped

3 15 oz cans Italian-style tomato sauce **

2 tsp. dried basil

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. (8oz)

1 container (15oz) part-skim ricotta cheese**

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

15 uncooked Lasagne noodles

Cook sausage and onion in skillet over medium heat about 6-8 min, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink.

Stir in tomato sauce, basil, and salt

Mix ricotta cheese ( I always add about 3/4 cup of cottage cheese too, cause I love it) Parmesan, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese together in a bowl.

(refrigerate remaning mozzarella cheese while lasagne cooks)

Spoon 1/4 of the sausage mixture into 6qt slow cooker, top with 5 noodles broken into pieces to fit.

Spread half of the cheese mixture and than another 1/4 of the sausage mixture

Top with 5 noodles, remaining cheese mixture and 1/4 of sausage mixture

Top with renaining 5 noodles and remaining sausage mixture.

Cover and cook on low heat setting for 4-6 hours or until noodles are tender. Sprinkle top of lasagne with remaining mozarella.

Cover and let stand about 10 min or until cheese is melted...ENJOY!

**Here are some of my little notes:

_I usually spray my slow cooker lightly with pam.

_In my crock pot it is always ready at 4 hrs. If you go a lot longer than that, the bottom and sides can get over cooked. I'm sure different crock pots will vary.

_I like to add cottage cheese to my ricotta. Just because it is my favorite and I love the texture in it

_I've had trouble finding italian style tomato sauce sometimes, so I just add Italian seasoning to regular tomato sauce. Prob at least 1-2 tsp or so.
